Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

What We Offer: Competitive base salary of £30,000 per annum plus commission structure of up to £5,000 per annum.

Role Profile: As a results-driven Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving new business, identify new leads and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Within this role you will be working closely with all departments, but with a strong focus on Commercial Recycling & Waste services. To drive company profitability to support the delivery of services across the Peterborough area.

You will have the skills to be able to effectively communicate with both new and existing customers and be informative and understanding of their requirements.

By working closely with internal departments, you will be able to ensure the needs of the customers are understood.

You will work to identify and develop new business opportunities, in order to attain agreed sales targets. You will have the ability to contribute to the generation of reports, detailing sales leads, new business and growth generated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities (selling a range of services with a strong focus on waste collection and disposal solutions and products) through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and lead generation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure new customers and customer retention.
  • Present and demonstrate products/services to potential customers.
  • Negotiate and close sales to meet targets.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the services we provide by keeping up to date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets.

Requirements:

  • Experience and a proven track record within a sales position.
  • Relevant experience of sales/account management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work independently.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
  • Experience of Recycling and Waste Services or the desire to learn.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Understanding of the importance of Health and Safety
