Early Years Assistants (Grade 4 SCP 3-5)

Permanent positions; 35 hours or 32.5 hours (5 days per week) preferable but part time positions may be considered (contact the school to discuss)

Salary £24,796 - £25,583 pro-rata

Term Time Only plus 5 Inset Days: 39 weeks 195 days

Working hours for 35 hours per week are 7:50am to 4:05pm (promptly in the classroom) and 8:50am to 4:05pm alternative weeks to cover breakfast club every other week.

Working hours for 32.5 hours per week are 8:50am to 4:05pm (promptly in the classroom)

Working hours for part-time must incorporate either 8:50am start time or 4:05pm finish time

Actual salary for 35 hours £20,085 - £20,723

Actual salary for 32.5 hours £18,651 - £19,243

The role will require you to work as a key person and member of a class team delivering the EYFS, in the classroom and our magical outdoor learning environment. You MUST hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent that allows you to work in an Early Years Setting. Please send a copy of your Certificate confirming your Childcare Qualification when submitting your application.

Lunch Club Assistant 5 days per week (Grade 2)

2 hours per day

Term Time Only: 39 weeks, 195 days, permanent

Hours of work: 11.15am – 1.15pm Monday to Friday

Actual Salary: £5,650 per annum

We are seeking to appoint a Lunch Club Assistant to join our caring, friendly, supportive hard-working team.

The role will require you to:

  • Clean and prepare lunch club area before use
  • Collect your group of children and prepare them for Lunch Club
  • Sit with them, support them to eat their own packed lunch and encourage good eating and social skills
  • Check that the food being served to each child meets all their allergy and dietary requirements and is prepared in a way to prevent choking.
  • Record what the children have eaten to share with their parents when required
  • Snack preparation
  • Cleaning Lunch area and Kitchen after use

Our children are aged between 2 and 4 years old, some of whom have additional needs.

You must hold a good level of written and spoken English.
